Sudeley Castle Exclusive Opening
Visitors to Sudeley Castle are invited to take advantage of additional Guided Tours of the private family apartments, being offered for two weeks during August.
Lady Ashcombe and the Dent-Brocklehurst family appreciate that visitors to the Castle welcome the opportunity to see the private family apartments and have agreed to make these very special tours available six days a week for a limited period only. From 8th – 21st August, visitors will be able to tour the apartments at 11am, 1pm or 3pm, every day from Sunday to Friday.
The tours allow access to some of the most splendid rooms in the Castle, including the Katherine Parr’s nursery, the Stone Drawing Room, the Library, the Chandos Bedroom and the Billiard Room. Fine examples of masterpieces can be seen by artists such as Rubens and Van Dyck. Knowledgeable guides give a fascinating account of the origin of many paintings and artefacts, as well as many stories and anecdotes from the incredible life span of this historic Castle. The insight into the history of Sudeley is not to be missed, and will really enhance the visit.
Visitors wishing to take advantage of this unique opportunity should book through the “online booking” page on the website http://www.sudeleycastle.co.uk/. Tickets are £12 per person which includes the tour, gardens and exhibitions (£4.80 for HHA members). Online bookings made five days in advance attract a 5% discount. Alternatively, tours can be booked on arrival at the Visitor Centre on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that there is a maximum of 15 people per tour. Tours are not available for children under 12 and regrettably are not suitable for those with limited mobility.
